70el 79r motor throttle disconnected from engine

Please help!

This piexe that actuates the throttle is not moving! The throttle cable seems to link up to a part that moves the throttle, but that piece that moves is not connected to the long silver piece! What do we need???

That DOES NOT actuate the throttle.----It is the choke plunger and it goes into that wee round thing which is the choke solenoid.---The choke solenoid has the purple white stripe wire going into it.------Hard to tell but that choke solenoid might be installed backwards.-----If so it needs to be turned around and adjusted properly.-----More pictures would help this simple issue here.

Ok found it! The silver piece just slides in but nothing holds it. Do I gotta get a new solenoid or is it supposed to just sit there free?
