5.0 serial number location?

My insurance is asking for the serial numbers for my engines. Need the location so I can put that on my renewal. Thanks

The normal location for serial numbers on a mercrusier block will be on the port side rear cylinder.

Ayuh,.... That'd be the casting number,...

The Merc serial number should be on an aluminum tag riveted to the block, starboard side, just foreward, 'n above the starter...
Or,...
Many times written on the flame arrester cover....

Run your hand behind the engine just under the head on the block both sides. Great place for it cause you will need a mirror.
