I have a 2002 VP 5.0GIPEFS that used to push my Seaswirl Striper 2601 around 29/30MPH at 3500 rpm. Now im topping out at about 23mph and have trouble getting the rpms back up to 3500. It likes to cruise around 3000 rpm and i cant push the throttle more. Sometimes it s gets to 3500rpm but slows itself down over time. Had the duo props re-hubbed recently (outdrive is a DP-SM). No real change.
After i push throttle as far as it goes, the rpms jump up temporarilly as i pull back on throttle.
Additional info that may make a differnce.
- Changed the entire fuel pump kit (which included high and low presure pumps) had the pressure tested and looked - however if anyone can tell me the proper pressure for high and low pumps it would be great.
