"i have a early 90's 40hp mariner, which we had to have new reeds put in last year. the motor ran fine after that repair, the last few times we have taken the boat out, the starter has been makin a loud noise when cranking, and then yesterday the motor started dying on us, first when we would put it in reverse, then we couldnt get it to idle, or go in foward with out dying. about 3000rpm the motor runs real rough...any ideas"
