installing new coil and electronic points need to eliminate resistor. I dont know if it's a wire resistor or a ballast resitor and what the location would be.

"If you don't see an ugly

"If you don't see an ugly block of white ceramic with wires going to each end, then it's got a resistor wire. If so, the easiest way to eliminate it is to run a new coil wire from the furthest point to the key switch you cna reach. Usually the resistor wires are near the engine.

PS: Sometimes you can spot them--they are thicker and may have a tag saying "resistor" wire molded in."
