25hp steering conversion, shift cable question

I have purchased the conversion kit from ME and I had purchased the cables below since this is going on an 11ft Whaler and these were the shortest I could find. I'm having trouble installing the shift cable into the cable anchor on the side of the cowl. Then I install it it just slides around and is not anchored. It looks like I might need another adapter possibly?. I will post a couple of pictures in a couple of minutes. TIA, Milan

Those cables are what us old timers know as Morse 33C cables. They can work with your motor if using compatible controls and installation kits. We don't know what you are trying to use them with.. More info is needed, beginning with motor model and remote control type.

I was able to get the cables to work in the controller. Its the cable housing ends that are giving me grief.

Ah yes, that is the old Morse MT control, modified by Morse and sold to OMC for their accessory line.. Now Seastar. Great control, BTW.
