20R71S johnson propeller spins but no speed at full throttle, its strange the motor will rev but the bout want move, I put in a new impeller for water pump and looked over the prop,
Any tips
 
It runs fine in a barrel and when I give it full throttle it sounds like their is power but when I put it on the lake it starts fine but when I apply full throttle it sounds like it should but no real forward motion.
 
Thanks kimcrwbr1 you were spot on with the SPUN HUB, I made a mark and run it in a barrel only at low throttle to check that first, removed the prop to find the mark no longer lined up.
Is this a repair job or do I need to buy a new propeller? Cheers Robert.
 
Your choice...get a prop shop to press in a new rubber hub, or buy a new prop. The new hub route will be cheaper. This is not something for the diy'er.
