20ho 4 stroke rev limitations

I'm looking for help finding a way around the factory set rev limitations on my Tohatsu 4 stroke. Does anyone know a way around this or know of people that have the expertise to custom program a CDI? Thanks in advance, Rob

The ESG (rev limiter) is incorporated into the CD module, just as the spark advance curve is. You would need to reverse-engineer the CD box. Since the 4-strokes typically limit around 6000 RPM, there is not much to gain that way, and it would probably make it more likely to damage a connecting rod.
