2017 115 Vmax, always ran fine, then starting to go in Limp mode when accelerating a few times. Wrapped up a 3 day trip of fishing and it did it about a dozen or so times. IF I WOT and not trim it would go, as it got up to speed I would slightly trim and all is good. If I trimmed too soon, it would shut down to Limp @2200 rpm, 5mph .
Also, I can cruise for 10 miles running great, as soon as I slow down a bit, it would drop into limp.
If I shut it off wait 1 min, and turn back on it will run fine.
If I try to start right away it will still be in limp. Limp rpm was about 1200 at idle, normal is 800. So, I am able to tell right away if it will be ok.
Seems to be a sensor, not sure. Mechanic said it would be best to send to Service center for diagnostics. They are weeks behind.
I would still take it out but need it fixed.
Any ideas out there or someone have same issues? I read lots of things it could be but not smart to start changing needless parts.
Thanks for your help!
