Hi I have a 200 hp mariner optimax which turns over and fires up runs for about a second then stops. Has on a couple of occasions cut out when the boat has been up on the plane doing about 20 knots, twin battery setup on the boat both batteries are in perfect working order drop tested all ok. The alarm that sounds when you turn the key to the first click does on some occasions not sound until a good 5-10 seconds after as if the key hasn't been turned on which is starting to make me think the ignition switch is faulty, perhaps this is related?
