Do you mean take em apart and clean?
Had the same problem, it was the fuel pump. Thanks for the adviceIf the engine idles once started and runs as it should, the carbs are fine. Hard starting on an V4 Yamaha two stroke with a mechanical choke is usually a bad fuel pump(leaking into the crank case), or the gasket on the carb cover is not letting the mechanical choke plate close.
On your next cold start, remove the cover and test. Make sure the choke is closing completely.
