I have a 1999 9.9 that had water issues in the fuel. I took the carb apart cleaned it and installed the gasket kit , fuel pump bellows etc.
It started fine cold, idled at the dock and ran great. Took it for a run and once it warmed up and returned to idle it stalled. The only way to re-start is by holding the throttle open. I now notice that the mixture screw has no effect on how it runs. Still runs with the mixture screw leaned out to nothing ( seated)
Ideas???
