1999 175HP Johnson compression

did a compression test on this motor an reading are 100-102 on all cylinders. I have been told that some Johnson come from the factory with compression at 100 new,,,is this true?? motor runs strong
 
Yes some of the older higher HP motors only came from the factory at 110-115 lbs. You are fine......... I have to say this again but have you de-carbed the motor? Your compression might come up.
