1998 90hp Johnson OIS 60 degreee ( J90SLECM)
Just rebuilt carbs, took apart and cleaned VRO pump, replaced entire fuel system--- ( hoses, primer bulb, check valve, racor filer, filter on fuel manifold, cleaned EVERYTHING!!)
The problem started when the motor started running like CRAP!..... Not to say that the original problem could have been electrical in the first place but the fuel system was nasty!!
Put everything back and tried to start, kinda hard at first but eventually it did, with a little throttle..
It ran great for a little on the hose and would shut off. Started back up only after throttle at 75%. After that it would idle fine and shut down.
Made sure fuel pump was pumping, no fuel issues at all.
Connected spark checker on all 4 cyl and had NO spark all the sudden, A little spark would show up when i manually moved throttle up.. ????
Optical eye?? Power pack? RecReg??
