I have 2 questions ,if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
1) just rebuilt 513 xli,TB,just reinstalled into a hurth v drive trans mission was always good
now when its put into gear,transmission noise,give it a little gas it goes away,had one mechnic
told me it was gear chatter???? another said there know for it?????

2)can anyone tell me how much gas i would expect to use fromgalveston tx to sarrasota fl????
 
did you replace the damper plate when you rebuilt the engine?

Are you POSITIVE all eight cylinders are firing?
 
will be back to the boat soon and do these things,after doing more research ,seems it might be low or rough idle,How do you verify all 8 cyliders are firing????
 
Have a 1996 41c with 502's. the noise you talk about is probably damper plate springs. I have had this noise from day one. Sounded like marbles in the engine. Never had a problem. Hope this helps. I know a little late
