Hi,
I have a 1993 30HP Yamaha that has an issue only at a specific throttle range. The Engines rpm varies from normal all the way down almost to idle and feels like its going to maybe stall, but never has stalled., then speeds up again. This only happens in a very narrow throttle range, once beyond that point, the engine seems to run normal, and when below that point where it starts, the engine seems to run normal.
The engine starts immediately never had any issues with starting......
Again the engine runs fine at idle, and what i would consider normal trolling speeds, and fast trolling speeds. but once I increase to a throttle which would just get boat on plane, the engine it will run normal for a second, then lowering rpm for a second or two then increases to what i would call the normal rpm agian then back down again...and so on.
Once I get to a certain throttle, the engine seems to run normal again.
Plugs are new and gaped properly (.037")
Also have a new fuel bulb line from tank to engine.
Gas is new
Wondering out loud if it could be something with Carb (maybe a carb rebuild required) or something else.
Any help/advice would be apprciated.
