Motor only gets fire when u first hit the key to crank and when u release the key from cranking..i have replaced ignition,kill switch, timer base, stator and power pack and help is appreciated also have unhooked the main power cable and turned motor over at the starter to only have the same spark

I'm not quite following, so please clarify if I have summarized this properly.
1) You have spark when cranking the engine and it will fire.
2) Spark goes away as soon as you release the ignition key and the engine dies
3) If you turn the key in the run position then jump terminals at the starter the engine spins but you have no spark

If that is the case, it sounds like you are not getting a constant 12V from the ignition switch. It should be the purple wire and at the engine with the key in the run position you should have 12 volts.

That sounds like your kill circuit is somehow making connection and shorting your power pack to ground. I'm not quite sure how that would happen.
