1982 Merc 50 4 cylinder w/ Walbro - how to set float?

I can't find my manual, suspect buddy w/ a 70 HP he was working on ended up with it and I didn't get it back.. I need to set the floats, are they supposed to be parallel with the carb body when resting on the spring or something different?

Just did a few. Carb upside down, the float should be level (parallel to the mating surface of the lower bowl). Tricky to adjust by bending the arm that touches the needle and seat NOT the float arm. A TINY adjustment males a huge difference in the float height.
