1969 Merc 1250 dist swap

Is it possible to swap out the entire distributor assembly from a 1970 1150 into a 1969 1250? I know the trigger for 68-69 is unique but hoping to swap out entire assembly.

Yes, but you'll need to swap the rest of the ignition system as well.

I already have the new cdi switchbox/coil. Is there something else that needs to be switched?
