Hey everyone, I have a 1967 Johnson Super Seahorse 40hp outboard motor. It's manual shift and does not have a generator. The question I have is about the wires that come out of the engine, to the key switch. Of course there is the bigger black and red wires that go to the battery. Then in its own sheathing is 2 black wires, a yellow or white wire (hard to tell due to fading), a purple with white stripe wire and a little bit thicker red wire. What do each of these wires do? and how would i hook them up to a key switch? Thanks for any knowledge you could lend me.
