I have a 1982 Chrysler Sea King 15hp. Just replaced head gasket and rebuilt the carb. When I'm running WOT, it surges down. Found out today that if I pump the fuel line bulb while running wot it runs just fine, stays and doesn't surge. Is this the fuel pump? Also have noticed air bubbles in my internal fuel lines but no fuel leakage so assuming it's not an internal fuel line issue. Any help, ideas or questions would be appreciated! Thanks!!
I got it figured out thanks anywayI took the carb apart and cleaned it but didn't pay attention to the spring on float can someone tell or show me how it goes.
West Bend & Chrysler go back farther than 1974 on the Sea Kings. Add 10 more years to that"One more note to add, Chrysle
"One more note to add, Chrysler build these between 74 - 78 for Montgomery Wards. Earlier versions were built by Clinton engines. So I'm digging in "two different holes" for find which model you have..."
Fuel pump kits are still readily available. 18-7805 is the Sierra part number. Marine engine dot com has them I believe. Old thread but maybe you still need itRe: I have a 79 sea king 15 VWB521
