Replacing my exhaust manifolds. I want to covert to full cooling but cannot really find a diagram of the plumbing change needed.
best I can tell is that flow is divided into 2 at the thermostat housing then one line to each exhaust manifold and back to heat exchanger.
I know that the upper exhaust necks are blocked off and fresh water goes to them only and out the exhaust.
It seems a little strange that the exhaust manifolds will not be getting any coolant flow till the thermostat opens up.
Just wanting confirmation if this correct.
Engines I know, marine water cooled exhaust is a work in progress.
