    Broken alternator bolt

    I have Cat 3208TA engines on m I have Cat 3208TA engines on my 41 Tiara. Twice in the last year the alternator bolt on the port engine has broken while underway. This is a 1/2x 3 inch bolt holding a Balmar alternator. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening?
