    Where's the coolant going?

    I am losing about a quart of coolant on my daily runs. The oil is clean of coolant or water. There is nothing in the bilge. Wouldn't the only logical answer would be that it's losing it through a tiny hole or crack in the heat exchanger? Anyone have any ideas.

    1977 318. There is no raw water strainer.

    Hello, I just aquired a 1977 Chris Craft Catalina 25, with a 318 fresh water cooled Chrysler engine. I cannot find a raw water strainer. Is it necessary and could it contribute to over heating at high rpms?
