    what are drain tubes, metering rod during crankcase rebuild on '84 4hp 2cyl 2 cyc evinrude

    what are they for?...refer to parts schematic on this site......are they placed in the crankcase tubes as they are without any alteration?..the drain tubes appear to me to drain extra oil/fuel mix away from the 2 main (top and bottom) bearings. The metering rod appears to belong in a water...
