    Water inside the engine compartment

    I just found out that water got inside the engine compartment. It is a 1997 SeaRay 280 with a 7.4 MerCruiser motor. The water got about 1/2 up the motor. So the starter and the alternator were both underwater. My question is: did this level of water somehow get into the motor? The starter...
