    crusader 454XL Exhaust elbow temp

    I recently changed all four exhaust elbows. Now on the port engine the left elbow runs 30-40 dergrees hotter than right elbow and both elbows on stbd engine Any ideas? TIA

    1994 454XL starts but immediatly dies and other mysteries.

    Went out last week to check the bottom and got in the dirt but got off OK. Anchored for about a hour and when I tried to restart the STBD engine it would start but then die after about 10 seconds. Hasn't started since. Tried again today neither the STBD eng. or the genset would start. Removed...

    Knew it would'nt last

    My 454XLs have been running fine for about a year but about 2 months ago.."Here's Johnny"! The starbord engine starts OK but the first 10 minutes of running has to be at no wake speeds. Any time from 30 seconds to 10 minutes it will cut out but immediately restart. Then it runs fine again...

    1994 454XL oil line alert

    While running, my port engine auto shut down. When I lifted the hatch the engine space was covered with oil. Somehow the oil line from the oil cooler to the bottom of the block, where the original oil filter would be, had shifted and was rubbed through by the alternator belt. 5 quarts at 40 psi...

    Crusader 454XL oil pan

    Plan B. My oil leak is not the Plan B. My oil leak is not the oilpan gasket. The leak is at the fitting for the off side dip stick. The pan feels like it's made of aluminum. If it is aluminum what type of plug can I use to replace the fitting? Stainless will corrode the aluminum. TIA

    Oil leak 454xl on Tiara 31 open

    I have an oil leak on outboard I have an oil leak on outboard side of starboard engine oil pan. I think it's the gasket. Has anyone tackeled this problem and if so how? I don't think I can get the pan out from under the engine.
