    FICHT Injector Signal

    Does anyone know what the Pulse Width and Duty Cycle is for the Fuel Injectors on a E175MFXSOS (2005, 175HP). I have come-up with set-up to test the injectors but need to know the operating parameters. Would like to know the info for an angine at idle and maybe 4K-5K RPM. Thanks, Tony

    I got the other DS out w/o a problem. Below is a pic of the 2 DS's, you can see the difference in length. I also checked the markings on the pinion gears, same P/N....I should be good to go! Need to order a seal Kit, pinion nut and washer before I go any further.

    I was able to remove the bearing carrier and prop shaft using make-shift puller. Decided it was a good place to stop, will continue with drive shaft removal tomorrow.     Just re-read your post, if I understand correctly, you're stating that the Prop Shaft and Gear are removed easily, but I still need to remove the pinion gear from the driveshaft. Correct?

    No, I did not remove the driveshaft from the LH lower yet. Are you saying I don't need to remove the bearing carrier on this lower to remove the driveshaft and pinion gear? If I remove the bearing housing under the water pump I can remove the driveshaft and pinion gear?

    Was able to get the driveshaft out of the donor lower, now on to the LH drive. Hope it comes apart easier than this one!

    Had a friend make me up one of these in our machine shop at work, hope the shaft comes out using this. Nothing else is holding it, correct? I removed the driveshaft bearing housing assembly and the pinion nut, I think that's it!
