    I have a 1999 Evinrude 40 HP E40PL4EE 4-Stroke I want to change the water pump On older Johnson's you put the Shifter in reverse, disconnected the rod, unbolted and dropped gear case. On this motor I am not seeing the shift rod, found a diagram, looks like it no longer exists for this...
