    Sorry to be a pain but I think a mechanic I got to work on my engine put the leads on in the wrong order by accident. Does anyone know the order each lead goes into each lead coming from the distributor? With 1 being the top and 6 being the bottom of each. Its the old mercury 90hp 6 inline...

    1980s mercury tower of power problem

    I recently changed the powerhead and impellor of my 90hp mercury 6 inline. However when I installed everything again the engine would not engage neutral. Whenever I turn the engine over the prop is turning. Is there something I am missing possibly? Any advise would be appreciated

    90hp mercury 6 inline I have recently changed the powerhead and when that was off changed the impellor. However now I cannot seem to get the engine to go out of gear. It makes a clicking noise when I turn the prop by hand. I know it is the leaver at the bottom of the engine but no matter what...
