    1974 Johnson 2hp recoil starter popping out

    My 1974 Johnson 2hp recoil starter keeps popping out. I’ve done them before with no trouble but this one keeps coming out of the outer retainer. It’s almost like the gap is too big for the spring. Has anyone had this problem?
