    1997 Johnson 8hp tilt pin lock problems

    Hello so I have an 8hp Johnson 1997. I have just painted it and I think I recall that theres a mechanism that locks the tilt pin in but mine doesn't seem to work. Os there a common fault? Anyone have any ideas
