    If you take the wire from the coil to the center of the disti and pull it from the cap and hold that end very near the block and crank do you see a spark????

    If there's no spark at the plug and you can still "see" timing, likely issue with plug itself or "boot/connection" @ plug... And .... need more engine info.

    My SWAG??? !!! ..... factory dropped top half of boat on floor before bonding it to the bottom half.... If it was due to an impact to the stern, there would be at least a craze mark outside........

    Would change raw water impeller and inspect pump inner housing for damage... If any parts of impeller are missing you have to find them. Start looking at the inlet side of the heat exchanger tube...

    Just checked my notes... If the manifold is in the T stat "loop" ( temperature controlled water) its a " warm" manifold.... if its a one hose ( in manifold out elbow) its... "cold"......

    Likely to be a recurring problem as I suspect that the root cause is the design/relationship between the exhaust elbow (water injection point/flow) and exhaust port #4.... just speculating...

    1) verify distributor wired to correct spark plugs by physically tracing each wire. Note that the caps cylinder #'s are often marked for both RH and LH...
