Motor runs fine in backyard tub. Ran it for 15 min. No alarm. Take it to the lake (second time) and as soon as I try to go alarm at shift/throttle begins ringing. Once it starts it does not stop until key is off. Weird thing is as soon at key is switched on (not started) alarm is on. Has new impeller, both thermostats replace. Not due to issues as a baseline for me. Don’t think it is overheating as that alarm comes from motor. Spitting water out pee hose.

Constant or beep-beep-beep? Constant is water temp issue. What is the temp on the gauge at idle after thermostats open? Just a suggestion; 1, test port/starboard temp sensors or replace. Look up how to do on Youtube. 2, replace poppet valve with a new kit. Only use Mercury/Quicksilver parts! Do not get sucked into buying Amazon equivalents.
