Force 120

I purchased a bass boat with a 1995 Force 120, I am being told that this engine is not good and should get rid of it. My question is, are they that bad of an engine .

If you can work on it yourself, they are not that bad.-----If it runs fine then learn all you can about maintaining and servicing this motor.----Learn how and where to find the parts.----Does not require $100 +/ per hour dealer support.

I have one on my 1996 Maxum. Had it 30 years and only thing I've done is rebuild the fuel pump (other than regular maintenance). Compression is still good.
