Hi!
I have a 1984 60HP Mariner that ran great, drove it ~ a month ago and been sitting since. Had planned to take my kids fishing this morning and when I got down to the boat it didn't start so I started looking around and found out that I don't have a spark on two cylinders (2 and 3) strong and good spark on cylinder 1.
Started with disconnecting the black wire with yellow stripe, no difference at all. Decided to ohm-check my coils and I'm not 100% sure but I think at least one of the two coils that don't have a spark are bad.
Started to look around in various forums and found out that the stator could be the culprit so I started reading the wires but... I have no idea if the values I'm getting are good or bad?
I have one blue wire and one red wire.
What are good/bad readings? How do I do this?
Thanks in advance,
Daniel.
