1995 150 Fast Strike problem. Motor quits and gives alarm.

It is a 60 degree looper.

Aw Damn!... I was hoping it was a crossflow with swelled water deflectors blocking the water flow on one bank. Unfortunately the loopers don't have water deflectors. Hopefully out fellow members with updated knowledge of your engine will jump in here with helpful suggestions.

No I haven't had a chance yet. The boat is parked 70 miles away or so right now.
I talked to the dealer and they said that the sensor that triggers SLOW (2 wire one) is no longer an available part.

The guy at the dealership sugested unplugging the two wire sensor and leaving the other plugged in with the philosophy that it would still alarm if it did overheat but not trigger SLOW.

I'm too gu shy to try that theory I think.

Just checking to see if you ever got your motor running correctly. I have the same motor having the same issues and nothing seems to fix it.

Newtonlake,
You replied to an 8 year old thread. If you are having problems with your engine your best option is to start a new thread stating your model # and the exact symptoms you're having and include any troubleshooting you've done so far.
