At WOT I am runnung at 2570 RPM and get an alarm from my Volvo gauges "Turbo Boost High" and the reading is 28.9 psi. Is that an excessive boost pressure for the tubos?

The alarm will actually go off at 2250RPM with a boost pressure of 25.7 psi.

What is the max boost presure for these turbos?

Thank you,
Kato K

According to the Volvo workshop manual 33.4 PSI is normal at 2400-2600 RPM
In that case check your pressure sensor. In most all cases the gauge just tells the driver what the pressure is, it does not tell the ECM. The motor will have another sensor connected to the ECM which may be providing incorrect info
