1993 mercury 40hp 4 cyl idle adjustment

I’ve got a 1993 mercury 40 hp 4 cylinder does anyone have the idle and link and sync setting procedure for this engine, bought the boat with it having been taken apart prior to my getting it, all the linkages and carbs were off the engine, I’m trying to get it set back right, the engine runs but idles super low and has to have the fast idle lever pulled half way to stay running, the carbs are clean, I’m just not super familiar with what the 3 adjustable screws on the linkage are for and don’t wanna mess it up

Ebay handles marine engine manuals. I bought my last two (different engines) off there. Get a manual and eliminate the guess work!

I was able to purchase the exact Mercury OEM manuals in either clean used condition, reprints, or original new print.

I was trying to find the part number for the OEM Mercury Marine service manual. For some reason it is not listed in the Mercury parts catalog.

Suggest you contact any Mercury dealer to get the service manual.
