armature plate compatibility

I have a amature plates 580210 and 580660. The (new to me) FD22M needs a plate. Both plates seem to fit the 68 outboard. The parts diagrams indicate the 584810 is the original part. Can I swap them out? Or do I need the 584810 armature?

perhaps, look carefully.---may need to drill tap holes.

The plates were basically all the same.-holes for throttle cam and such give them a different part #
