Alarm, odd behaviour at full throttle

I have a 93 Evinrude 60hp that originally had a solid alarm that never would stop as soon as I turned the key on. After starting it ran fine but still constant alarm. I looked this up and found it was the temperature alarm. Since the alarm went off even when the engine was cold I disconnected and reconnected the temp sensor and this fixed that problem.

The next time I took it out I got an alarm every 40 seconds: low oil level. Thing is the oil level is full. To be certain I was getting oil to the motor I premixed oil in the gas, motor is smoking with the extra oil, steady stream of water cooling motor. At high speed it is very briefly cutting out as though missing a cylinder every so often (Seems similar to how it acted when the power pack went out two years ago - but it should not have gone out again).

Can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks!

Does the tell tale hose come off the side of the block or the top ? ----Post the results of a compression test.----Perhaps it is the buzzer itself that is defective.----Have you looked into the latest water pump repair kit 0432955 that has instructions for cooling system modifications ?

Forgive me, I am no mechanic.

The cooling hose comes from the upper end of the motor. I considered the buzzer could be defective with all the different signals in such a short span of time but that doesn't explain the missing cylinder symptom. I have not looked at that repair kit until you mentioned it but as far as I can tell the cooling system is working fine - motor runs cool and a steady stream of water is coming out the proper location on the lower motor cover.

Put boat in the water.-----Hook up a timing light to #1 cylinder.----Take boat for a spin.-----Repeat with #2 and #3.-----Observe the flashing light.----Light not flashing steady means you have found bad cylinder.
