mc-1 grease sill

Hello, I just put in a new gimbal grease seal, I taped it in all the way to back of housing, I noticed part of the cutout notch in the bottom of housing now shows from grease side of seal, should I have not put seal in all the way

Ayuh,.... It don't matter, that seal does virtually nothing anyways,....

Thanks for the reply, that's what I thought but wanted to confirm before going any further, could not find any thing on internrt or in manual about it.
