Hello all! Hope someone here can help! I have a 2003 Sea Ray 290 SS Mercruiser 350 MAG MPI. Coming out of heated storage one of my engines is struggling to start. Let me explain. When I hit the ignition it cranks over very slowly for a couple revolutions and then it starts. I let it warm up and shut it down and it does the same thing. It like something is binding up the engine until it starts. My question is has any one had this experience? Does anyone think its the starter? I have not seen a starter that is failing to simply slow crank the engine. But I am not a mechanic so anything is possible. I am going to go out tomorrow and try to locate and check all the fuses and wires. I did have an issue with the 90 AMP breaker located at the starter on the other motor last season, but visible this one looks ok not melted like the other, but again maybe its partially broke causing just low amounts of power getting trough.
What do ya'al think? Change the 90 amp first test it? Next pull the starter? Or is not the starter at all?
