78 3.8 l omc electrical issue

Hey guys I'm new to the site and I'm hoping someone can point me In the right direction. So I had my 78 canaventure out for the first ride on the year and she ran great all day long. I got I home and parked it and then yesterday I went to go out and I checked everything over and then went to start it and nothing. No power to my dash and nothing when I turn the key, I just replaced the battery terminals so I started to trace everything and I have power up to all the relays but then I have no power coming out of the Main harness and none of my trim or tilt has power. Please help I'm so frustrated right now
 
It more likely to be a 90 Amp fuse, if it is there...it will be at the started, on the big lug, where the battery wire connects...
 
Ok so I was one of the 50amp fuses behind the carb, changed that with a new one and boom power to everything, now when I turn the key all I hear is a click coming from one of the solenoids on top of the motor. So now I'm guessing that it's no good.... it just blows my mind that it ran just fine with absolutely no issue and now I'm chasing electrical gremlins

Ayuh,.... If it clicks, it's workin',.....
Test for power at the starter,..... the yellow/ red wire is the excite wire, the little one closest the block,....
 
Ayuh,..... Pull the starter, 'n bench test it,....

It could be bad wirin', or corroded connections,....
 
Well the starter seems fine but when I go to use the trims I get the same click noise as when I try and start it.... the battery is 100% and now I'm even more lost, the click noise only clicks once and that's if I try and start it or use the trims. The trims were working and then stopped and just does a clicking sound
 
Ayuh,..... Clean the battery terminals, 'n both ends of both battery cables,..... Shiny metal Clean,....
