    Merc won't start after ignition left on

    I am new to the forum and have a question because I did something dumb. I have a 1998 40 hp 2 stroke merc that will not start after the ignition was left on for a couple of days. It did not kill the battery and it still turns over fine. It is electronic ignition, so it wouldn't be burned points...
