    Thanks, its where the horizontal seal is..where lower unit bolts to shaft. and yes I know...needs painting...next on the project list...lol

    I recently picked up an angler 18ft with 150 johnson on it. 1988. while running engine in driveway with hose attached....water comes though the seal where the lower unit connects to the shaft. Is this normal or is there a bad seal. If seal is fixed, then where is water going?? Engine peeing...
