    had a problem with mine years ago, it would be fine for 2 miles,or 10 miles, or 20 miles and stall each time. then start right up, spent lot of money chasing problem, turned out to be jelly like substance in the tank. it would float around for a while then get sucked up to the pickup tube screen...

    could be flooding out with the motion of the waves rocking the boat.. there is a baffal in with the float to ease the sloshing of fuel in carb...
