    1999 Johnson 225 Smoking issues

    My 1999 Johnson 225 with oil injection smokes like crazy at start up and idle. I've changed to Merc synthetic oil in hopes of reducing the smoke a bit. The motor runs very good, doesn't foul plugs, pees water great! I'm looking for suggestions on what I should do? Thanks

    NEED HELP ! Mercury xri 4 150 Poppet valve Gromet

    I decided to install a new poppet valve kit on my 150 Merc Black Max. I removed the poppet valve and while removing the rubber grommet behind the valve it dropped into the passage. I'm looking for suggestions on how I need to retrieve the grommet? Thanks
