    1990 evinrude 40 HP revs up on its own!

    I've got an evinrude outboard motor 2 stroke that I am having issues with. Its on a bass tracker tournament tx. The motor will fire and idle fine. But when I start to give it gas the rpm will gradually rise and be smooth, great! As soon as it hits 3000 rpm it automatically red Lines at 8000 rpm...
