    1998 OMC 57L Timing

    I have a 1998 OMC 5.7L (2B I have a 1998 OMC 5.7L (2B Carb) model 572BPBYC and there is only a V notch which I believe is the 0 degree reference point. How do set the timimg to 8 degrees BTDC without any other markings? Is there a timing sticker/stamp that is missing?
